  1. 1. Plays must convey real life problems and issues and not just used for entertainment. Is to make the theatre experience more educational for the audience.

    2. Audience members will take from the piece a message or a meaning and reflect it into their own lives; so they can go away either feeling they can change something or so they feel better about something that may be going on.

    3. Every audience member’s reflection will be different as every person is different.

    4. Each reflection is not wrong and is what they themselves believe it is.

    5. If no message/reflection is found then the play needs to be changed and altered so it can be.

    6. Set will be minimalistic so that no attention is taken away from what is happening on the stage.

    7. The audience, after the play is finished, will write down what they thought of the play and what they reflected on.

This is my manifesto based on the fact that some kinds of theatre is purely for entertainment values and there is no depth to them.

  2. 1) The audience will attend to 'Round the table analysis' and give their input, audience will understand the depth of understanding performers go into.

    2) Audience members will join the same acting workshops as the performers to give them an insight of how hard an actor works.

    3) The audience will be given scripts to learn as they have no choice but to be part of the performance.

    4) If any audience member does not look focused or speaks during a performance the cast will scream and shout in their face.

    5) The audience will perform and actors will watch, if not satisfied and believable the theater doors will close and tomatoes will be thrown, until the performance is right.

    6) Audience members will be lined up and asked what they have learnt through this process, if positive they will be let out if not they will have to stay and answer until they get positive feedback.

This is from the idea that people do not believe acting is something serious and difficult. Therefore 'not a real job'

  3. 1. I will ask everyone what they do for a living. And laugh.
    2. We are all actors. The world is our stage and those surrounding us are our audience.
    3. Our audience react to us. We may not like their response, but how else will we improve in ourselves?
    4. We all have our own objective. Our life is our objective. We all do what is necessary to achieve our objective. This is our story.
    5. Happy? Sad? Angry? It's all up to you. You are your own character.
    6. Acting is a shield that we all use for cover sometimes. It might feel good, but it doesn't mean it is. It might feel bad, but it doesn't mean it is.
    7. We all deserve a place on that stage. The audience that think otherwise are fools. The audience that agree are here to stay.
    8. Put down the shield. All you need to do is reach out and grab it.
    9. I will ask everyone what they do for a living. And bow.

This is my way of saying that acting and real life are actually very similar. People act all the time - they use acting to try and be someone they're not, and put on a mask to shelter who they really are. The way you act has an impact on how others react to you, which is easily compared to how an audience react to those on stage.

  4. 1) once you enter the space you may only leave when the piece is concluded
2)audience members must hurl abuse at the person sat next to them at the start interval and end of the piece
    3) No production is too vulgar racist homophobic or bigoted
    4) complaining is forbidden if you don't like it we don't want or need your custom
    5) No member of the audience is allowed to make any noise louder the 2 decibels
    6) If a noise is heard the entire audience must stand up and boo the offending audience member the entire cast and crew with then spit and throw aubergines at them until they leave
7)There will be no rule 7
8)All sets must be made out of MDF

  5. •Audiences will be a lot harder to please. They will only clap if they think the performance is outstanding; otherwise there will be booing and no applause.

•In the set, for different scenes, paintings might be shown in the background which reflect what is happening in the scene, the location, or the actors emotions. Cubism paintings will be used more than others.

•Instead of music being used during scenes and scene changes, mechanical noises will be made.

•Most performances will include at least one un-naturalistic mechanical abstract dance or scene in which the actors seem inhuman and move robotically in unison and make mechanical like noises and sounds.

•Puppets will sometimes be used in performances. This gives a twist to the performance and will entertain the audience as they will be watching life sized puppets instead of actors which is unique and out of the ordinary expectations of theatre.

•Props will also sometimes be used to represent characters. For example, items of furniture might be used. They will be controlled by string.

•Some performances will have two scenes taking place at the same time. The stage will be split and the audiences’ attention will be divided between the two separate scenes.

  6. 1) All audience are not part of the audience they are performers when watching a piece and in doing so must always be prepared for anything that can and will happen.
    2) There are no professional actors in the world. Only the level of which you study it can be deepened.
    3) Watching a performance, everytime the word "And" is used the entire theatre must shout in unison "POO!"
    4) All pieces of theatre will be set outside regardless of health and safety and weather. It is a must!
    5) Bad acting will not be tolerated.
    6) Bad acting will result in beatings. With a whip.
    7) Bad acting is subjected to the opinion of one Mr Adam Iqbal - he has the final say.

This is my manifesto based on a sense of humour.

  7. 1- If during the play anyone disturbs the actors and makes it diffucult for them to continue doing their job they will be pulled on to the stage and will continue watching the play on that spot till the ned of the show, if they reject and make a big problem out of it they will be forced to put on funny costumes.
2- There will be a minimum of 3 sets of costumes for each character and the audience will be allowed to choose the costumes before the play starts, they will also be allows to make changes to costumes the way they wish as long as it is not offensife to those who wear it.
3- The audience will be allowed to throw tomatoes if they wish to or boo the actors of the stage if they feel like the play is not meeting their own criteria.
4- All the audience members will be encouraged to support or boo a charecter by verbal means just like they do when they are watching movies.
5- The audience should join a 20 minute session before the play to relax and forget their particular worries of that day so that they can enjoy the play.
6- All audience members will be given a small musical instrument so that they can join in with the music used in the play, if they play the instruments while there is no music the play will be stopped and the audience members will be allowed to take the individuals instrument from him/her.
7-If they wish the audience will be allows to walk backstage and see what goes on there during a play.
