Performance manifestos concentrate on the aspect of there being no boundaries within performance. Unlike traditional theatre that must have rules. Manifestos have no rules in acting, there are no limits to what can be said or shown. Performance art is described as a accepted medium of artistic expression in the 1970’s artists at the time used performance art to articulate difference in discourses of multiculturalism and globalism, a form that breaks the barriers between high and popular culture. Overall I see performance as the core source that many different styles adaptions and strategies can be put within it and used as a tool.
